Lecturer in Russian

Bates College - Lewiston, Maine

The Department of German and Russian at Bates College invites applications for a one-semester Lecturer position teaching two courses in Russian in the fall of 2010.

Teaching responsibilities include the introductory Russian language course and a topical Russian language, literature, or culture course in English. Applicants should indicate the type of course they would like to offer.

Applicants should have experience teaching Russian language, native or near-native fluency in Russian and English, and be ABD or have a PhD in a field related to Russian Studies. All areas of Russian Studies will be considered.

Review of applications will begin July 5, 2010, but we will accept applications until the position is filled.
