United States Holocaust Memorial Museum - Washington, DC

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum seeks an experienced Director of Library Services and is responsible for the management and administration of the Library Services Division.

The Director of Library Services oversees the day-today management and direction of the Division of Library Services. Plans, coordinates and implements all activities of the Library, networks with other libraries on a national and international level. Defines and implements the Library's mission in support of the overall institutional mission, continually integrating and aligning the Library's program with the mission and programs.

Oversees and implements the Library's collection development policy. Includes locating international materials and management of an active and ongoing acquisition program.

Develops policies and strategies to provide access to the Library's information resources. Plans and directs studies of the resources and services of the Library.

Reviews operations to identify and analyze problem areas. Prepares budget estimates and justifications, and execution of budget costs and expenditures for the Library programs and special projects.

Monitors and oversees the Library's outreach, public relations and education activities; and represents the library at professional meetings and conferences.
