Lecturer in Ukrainian Language and Culture

The Department of Slavic and Eurasian Studies (DSES) at the University of Texas is pleased to announce an opening for a lecturer position in Ukrainian language and culture, beginning in Fall 2015. Initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility for a subsequent two-year renewal.

Applicants must be qualified to teach Ukrainian at beginning and advanced levels, as well as a content course, as negotiated with DSES and the Center for European Studies.

Teaching duties will include a three per semester course load, with two Ukrainian language courses and one literature or culture course focusing on Ukraine and its surrounding region.

Candidate must be open to the possibility of teaching an online Ukrainian course as a part of (not in addition to) their 3/3 course load.

Applicant must hold a PhD. Salary is based upon qualifications and experience.
